Crowns and Bridges in Chino Hills
Crowns are permanent restoration used to repair large cavity, broken tooth, or a root canal treated tooth. The Dentist will prepare the tooth and take a mold to be sent to the laboratory. You will have a temporary crown placed on your tooth until your crown is ready to be cemented permanently on the next visit. There are different kinds of crowns such as all metal or gold crown, porcelain fused to metal or gold crown, zirconia crown (metal free). Each material has its advantages and disadvantages, so make sure you discuss these options with your Dentist.
Bridges are permanent restoration used to replace your missing tooth (teeth) in between the teeth. You will need crown done on each neighboring tooth and then connect those crowns together like a “bridge”, filling in the empty space in between your teeth. You will also have temporary crowns or bridge while waiting for your permanent bridge to be made by a dental laboratory. If you prefer for us not to grind your teeth, then implant is a better option for you.
